And later, come back, and leave us a review.
There's no crime here. No one was killed. No one was physically hurt. In fact, there wasn't a remarkable event that you can conduct forensics on to exactly identify its root cause. And in a few years, there will be no emotional pain or baggage. After all, there is no law or policy to stay together or remain connected. Because of this fact, this family can slip into the oblivion, and no outsider will even know of its existence. Nor will there be a record of their logical relation.
And a heartfelt letter to his son, the final one to carry their name.
Through masterful storytelling, the author weaves together the threads of the past and present, offering a compelling exploration of identity, heritage, and the enduring power of familial love as they deal with the shadows of their ancestors' struggles and triumphs. As a reader, be prepared to be taken on a profound and relatable journey of the fractures that occur within a family that will stay with you long after the final page is turned!
IN THE PRESS
I couldn't help but think of my family and the value of staying together. This book is amazing! I felt the pain of the author. I admit I cried at the end.
JORDAN HUNT SR.
There is an incredible tie to his slavery past to how a family behaves and implodes. Sadly, I saw my family in this book.
TIM BARFIELD
Not only a memoir, but a real life chronical of history and the future, and how his family were woven into it, then unfortunately splintered. An incredible and emotional read.
